As an established provider of special mission aircraft for the
government and commercial customers, our aviation division excels in
technically demanding endeavors such as low-level advanced atmospheric
research, airborne surveillance, and logistical operations at remote
sites.
We are the leading provider of aircraft for low-level lead plane
and air-attack missions. Dispatched to locations throughout the
continental United States, our aircraft have consistently demonstrated
their value when initially attacking and attempting to suppress large
fires.
The Greenwood Group has a strong reputation for making airborne
meteorological measurements in support of government programs. Since
1992, we have provided domestic and international aviation and
technical expertise in environmental characterization and research
project management to federal and commercial clients. The results are
used to support current and innovative research in meteorological
radiation, aerosol formation, and atmospheric dynamics.
We have supported missions at the Southern Great Plains Cloud and
Radiation Test bed for years. Some of our customers have included the
Department of Energy, NASA, the U.S. Army, N. O. A. A., Battelle
National Lab and others. We have conducted over 2000+ remote sensing
flights.
