As stated in The Small Business Act, as amended by The Small Business Act, and by Public Law 95-507, mandates that small business concerns and small business concerns owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals shall have the maximum practicable opportunity to participate in the performance of contracts let by any federal agency. Most large prime contractors designate a small business liaison officer to identify qualified small businesses to attain small business and SDB goals.
